So I installed the new version of OS X, and they changed the layouts of some of the system libraries. (In addition to the binary interface, but that's not too important).
The result is a good chunk of the open source/gnu software I installed via fink is having problems. Things don't compile, things can't link, even important things like emacs (with x support) were broken.
It's taken me a few days to get some of the stuff up and running again, but I'm still struggling to get my python environment back up.
Why is software so fragile?
grumble grumble, whine whine.
