My god, it's full of pixels

So I've been living off of my sony picturebook as it was cool, and my
desktops used too much power and were too noisy. But there was one
downside, since the laptop is a little bit smaller than a typical
hardback novel, the screen is really tiny. (1024x480)

Last night I downloaded the patches to enable the external monitor
port, and after several hours of compiling X window and discovering
which libraries I was missing, and then compiling again, I eventually
was left with a binary containing the updated driver.

And it works!

I'm using my laptop with my old 20" monitor (1600x1200).

I forgot how nice a large display is.

Now to get a spare monitor at work.
