I bought me and my girlfriend new phones. The ultra-sexy Nokia E71.
Maybe I'll write a better review at some point.
Also one of the things I was hoping to do with the phone was to get a better idea when dragonblink was going to get home, as her commute is long, arduous, and filled with many potential traffic delays. I was originally thinking of writing my own little utility to help with that. But for the moment there's Nokia Friendview. It can allow you to share you current location and lets you do geographically tagged microblogging/twittering or something.

- I'm excited the included web browser was able to render wowhead.com without crashing, (a problem on my old E61).
- this one has a camera
- the phone comes with a program to decode datamatrix and QR codes
- its small, and very thin, but the keyboard is still usable
- I do miss the extra keys and key labels that were on the E61
- the speakerphone and handset sound quality seems quite good

I'm tempted to get a new phone, but I think I will miss the iphone's touch screen abilities.
