The rising cost of texting

The really offensive thing is as far as people outside the mobile industry can tell text messages should be basically free to the carrier.

There needs to be an alternative messaging system that works with mobile phones.

Perhaps a minimal web page that connect to computer IM protocols?

Since 2005, rates to send and receive text messages on all four major carrier networks have doubled from 10 cents to 20 cents per message. This percentage of increase is on par with similar price hikes at the gas pump

So, like, what if I got a Toyota hybrid drive phone? Would that keep my texting charges down?

I think the adults would have to cut thier service off to say no paging. Only buy from companies that have free paging systems.

Charging more then a Penny seems carzy to me. (10cents 20 cents is rediculous)

It will only ecourage someone to try and charge per email.
