Star Fleet Battles

I walked into our local game store last night and saw a game called "Federation Commander", it looked rather like star fleet battles so I had to go peek. The text on the back suggested that Federation Commander was "Fast". I of course broke out laughing, SFB, Fast? Inconceivable.

Then I went and looked at summary on board game geek--play time of only 60 minutes? A review that claims "less time fiddling with energy allocation and more time blowing your friends up?" This sounds interesting...

Though as a warning this isn't some german board game version, the rules section of the intro pdf is still 27 pages long.
