At no point have I been able to get enough people to be willing to help me complete that. I've gotten a number of promises "Sure, we'll help you, just as soon as we finish this raid, or as soon as we can find another warlock to help us." Here it is months later, and still no elite horse. I know I'm not that good at asking for help, and I'm also not that good at building the types of friendships which one can make time claims on (especially in game). So I despaired of ever getting an elite horse.
A couple of days ago, though while questing in one zone I managed to make 100 gold and I thought, wait a second, the traditional way of getting an elite mount was through spending 800 gold. Sadly the second night in that zone only netted me about 45 gold, but it's still achievable, and best of all I don't have to depend on any one else.
I just have to put up with the part of me that's still attached to the real world taunting me that I should be farming for open source and python community rep.
