Historically I avoided christmas, my parents church thought it was pagan so I didn't grow up participating, then as an atheistic adult I thought it was too consumerist.

However my girlfriend has a long history with the holiday and this is her first christmas away from her family, so she's wanted to do certain bits of her families traditions.

Currently we have some of the LED lights hanging in our apartments front window.

Well, yeah, but the "burn the people who celebrate it" part, not pagan. :-)

Yeah, but that meant that christmas was just a tool of satan sent to destroy the unbelievers.

I'm happy that you were able to do so. Did you hear about the association that wants to fine a homeowner for putting up a wreath that looks like a Peace sign?

It's a crazy world we live in.

I was hoping to invite you and your So over for dinner. I have a veggie cook book I want to try out and I thought we could pick something from it and go buy the ingriedients then make it. We can have some meat for the our SO's too.
