LJ Smackdown

I got a well deserved LJ smackdown for letting my "the world is ending and it's utterly and totally our fault" script out. Carrying around an overdeveloped sense of guilt is bad enough when I only dump it on me, it's much worse when I let it spill out on others.

When I forget and let it out I get to relearn the lesson that the only effect it has is to piss people off.

This unfortunately just reinforces my sense of powerlessness which is partially responsible for my hopelessness for our future which just makes more more likely to complain that the world is ending, which pisses everyone off more, which,.....

So I'm sorry to all those who I've needled incessantly.

I can't see any solution to the ongoing crises that doesn't involve significant changes in how humans cultures treat the world, and I'm worried that if we wait until we're forced to change by reality the forces will be so great that it will lead to our own extinction.

What exactly is an LJ smack down? I assume it is live Journal, but I didn't see anything on yoru page, was it on another page?

I think you can be over the top sometimes, but what do I know, I didn't do the research you have. Many peopel dismiss you out of ignorance. I don't know, but I know you and you have your views I agree with and some that I don't.

I mean lets take something I take personally. The whole GwB getting a second term. Psychologically I am pretty bent about it. But what does it really mean? It really was as close as you can get to a tie. There were allegations and questions and comments. The point is they came out of the bottom of the pile with the football. What do the numbers mean? Something like 30% voted for bush 29.2 voted for carry (approx)That means 40% of the people didn't vote one way or the other. (or couldn't vote or where bared from voting) That means the majority don't care either way. That really sucks. It supports the Lamb Theory of governing. Are people really meant to lead themselves? Not likely but if they think they are leading they are easier to be lead.

We have freedom of Religion, but we dont' seem to have freedom from Religion. Which really should be the same thing.

I suppose I could go on and on, I will stop. Peace.
