So I gave my presentation today... I didn't get interrupted often during it. I received multiple congratulations at the end. All in all it seemed to work out well.

The most negative comment someone told me was there could have been more detail.

Though one break with tradition was it took me about 45 minutes to go through my 22 slides. Since lab meeting is supposed to take 2 hours, my boss got up and explained one interesting problem to us.

Also I'd like to thank rampling for her talking me through some of my uncertainty yesterday.

If by some miracle someone is interested in what I did it's available here as a PDF file. As a side note the whole thing was written using LaTeX.

I was just gonna make a little comment to ask how it went, and I saw your entry. Congrats! I think it was good that you took "only" 45 minutes. That's *very* reasonable to me, and also respectful to your audience, IMHO. And the being who made the comment about more detail *should* have asked more detailed questions instead of telling you that afterwards. I'm glad it all went well, and glad I was able to help some. :)

*applauds* if it had been longer than 45 minutes you would have losted many a person's attention.
