Moveon.org is organizing candelight vigils for the 1,000 Americans who've died occupying Iraq.

While I was looking for one to go wander by, I had the odd idea of having a candlelight vigils in a mmorpg. Imagine a few hundred EQ players holding torches, for instance, with a few people doing screenshots for something like eq.indymedia.org.

When I played Dark Age of Camelot we did this a couple times. Once foe 9/11 Once for when a player died in real life. All three realms met in a central place and had a few moments of silence. After that we killed each other.

That's really amusing.
