* I paid off my last meaningful credit card. My only remaining debt is about $3,000 of student loans.
* I received a copy of "Communities Directory" published by the Fellowship for Intentional Communities. They even threw in a complimentary copy of their Communities magazine.
* I came up with an idea on how to deal with not wanting to pollute by using a car but still wanting to have a social life that includes queer friends (who aren't nearly as conveniently located as the straight people I meet through work & gaming friends). Unfortunately since it takes hours to get to any of my friends via public transit and they tend to stop before I'm ready to go home, the current mass transit isn't the best solution for me..
My solution is I could try to do an electric conversion of my car.
In a few months I perhaps could afford such a thing, though it might be better for the environment for me to put all the money into utility intertie solar panels. Since I don't drive much but do use reasonable amounts of electricity, the pollution from the electrical generation might be more significant than occasional driving.
