I tried to bring one of my temporarily retired motherboards back up and nothing would show up on the monitor. I did try two video cards, so I wonder if it's the monitor or that the computer isn't booting. (See what I get for using a computer with no box).

I wonder if there are any other reasons I'm feeling down.

I saw this article probably on Slashdot or Boingboing.net about this guy who put together a computer using a cardboard box for a case. Hee hee. It was of course not terribly sturdy, but it was fully functional.

Sorry your motherboard isn't working right. Is it possible the slot the video card is going in is dead? I've had that happen once or twice. If you want to chat about getting the motherboard working you can either IM me or email me. :)

Sorry to hear you're feeling down. I appreciate your getting back to me about the Linux question I had. I was just thinking we should chat more often, and it doesn't always even have to be about computers. *grin*
