The pasadena gold line opens this weekend!

The Gold Line will open this Saturday, July 26. This Saturday and Sunday everyone rides for free on the Gold Line. There are many activities scheduled for the opening (Sierra Madre Villa/East Pasadena Station and Memorial Park/Old Pasadena Station). The MTA is expecting up to 700,000 people (yes, 700,000) to visit all the Gold Line Stations this weekend (300,000 in Pasadena). Therefore, no bikes will be allowed on the trains this weekend. Bike parking will also be in high demand, so please show up very early if you plan to ride the train. The MTA will have a booth at the Memorial Park/Old Pasadena Station to answer any of your bike questions. Also, the MTA's website has some useful info. http://www.mta.net/metro_transit/metro_rail/ride/mr_bicycle.htm
