So one of the things that I sometimes feel depressed about is how there aren't any women who share my interests.

But wait, perhaps I'm wrong.

So one of the role playing groups I'm involved with is currently 4 women to 2 men, we're probably going to add a hetero couple we're going to loose one guy. Bringing us to 5 women and 2 men.

And only one of these women isn't from caltech.

The other group is 3 men and 2 women. (Admittedly I'm the only single woman in both groups, but in the larger group, two of the women's relationships are on the order of 6 months)

Also at the last bike group meeting, most of the people who seem to want things to work are women.

I've even seen really obviously feminine names posting to some debian lists. There's even a Howto encourage women in linux

I wonder if I should email the lesbian chat list and see try and form a role playing game group with a core of queer women. Like many activites that were historically dominated by men I suspect that there are more women who'd like role playing than actually have tried, so the challenge is to make it low enough comittment for some people to try.
