Ditch day

A couple of days ago at caltech we had the annual tradition of ditch day, seniors construct various large scale puzzles, and the rest of the students go around trying to figure stuff out, follow the trail of clues and other such things.

Looking at it on the outside it seemed lots of fun.

It kind of reminded me of live action role playing, though with more props than most.

However it got me thinking I don't have enough play in my life. Being an obsessive compulsive adult with a taste for pessimism bites.

Can I trade my brain in for one that has an easier time of being silly?

Or perhaps I should just spend more time in places where this is encouraged.
