Minor neat things

So last month I joined car busters, the membership packet finally arrived.

One rather cool thing is it came from the czech republic. In one of the books there was a neat comment about how we've divided a number of facilities into smoking and non-smoking, so can we have driving and non-driving now?

On another front I got my linux box to talk to my phone using bluetooth, and it recognized when my phone went too far away. With a bit of code then that allows my computer to know if my cell phone (and therefore me) is home. That could then trigger useful thinks like turning on the phone and music.

Also I followed ramplings suggestion and joined friendster. (Though I will say that since I connected through her, there's a surprisingly large number of atheists in her immediate circle.
