I didn't think I could do that

So I biked from my apartment to Fry's Electronics with some meandering around the north end of Griffith Park, and after fry's I went over to a friends house a few more miles away.

1600 Kcal to travel a little over 30 km.

Thankfully some of my friends were kind enough to drive me home, and I finally got to take advantage of the my folding bike. (Since it fit in their trunk).

The most surprising thing is my legs don't feel like they ache or anything (well a little tired but nothing like the pain when I first tried playing ultimate frisbiee). In fact I nearly feel like I could do it again tomorrow.

On the down side since my friend really likes to make tasty finger food, I ended up eating a too much. (It's hard to resist platters of deviled eggs, fruit tarts, cheese, veggie sandwitches and the like.)

Fantastic! I don't know about you, but for me it's surprising how quickly I get accustomed to riding longer distances. Having a hot bath and/or doing some stretching also lessens the possiblity of soreness.
