Estrogen recepter talk

I sat in on a talk on how estrogen influences dendrites today.

Aparently there's an increase in neuron connections that follows a females estrus cycle. (Aparently shown in both rodents & humans).

Unfortunatly for me, this affect of estrogen on increased neuronal connectivity didn't seem to happen to castrated male rodents.

I wonder if I should've asked the scientist what they hypothesized would happen with humans? And perhaps to also point out there's a population of humans experimenting on themselves in a way quite similar to their research.
