So since I had such a great time with Arden I decided visiting would be a good idea. Unfortunately I've discovered that Boston and LA are on opposite corners of the US, the shortest travel time I could find that I could afford (~$300) was 7 hours. (though that did involve 1 stop). There was a non-stop flight but it was $1200.

There seems to be some definite downsides to this whole long distance thing.

I think it is wonderful that you have fallen for someone! Do be careful though dear. I have had many experiences with different forms of the Long Distance Relationship. None of them unfortunately lasted. I really have come to believe in the old saying "absence makes the heart grow fonder". For me it also romanticized things. Some people like the distance and the occasional intimacy but don't want to take that any further. It is good to talk to the other person involved and to get an idea as to what page they are on.

I tend to fall hard.. but I have come across more who don't in my relationship travels.

This is an exciting time.. and no matter what the out come, the experience will definatly be worth it. Enjoy everything, the heart ache.. the longing.. the wanting... but also look to your friends, they are not in the thick of it and may be able to give you some guidence. :)
