So, the time I spent with Arden was pretty close to the best of all possible outcomes (anything better would require some magical method of being able to ignore the 3,000 miles between us).

Though I'm also glad to be back at home in a familiar space with my kitty (who missed me greatly) and my home technological enhanced space. (which I also missed).

Its sad how one can miss always on broadband connectivity... The network stops being a seperate thing and becomes and extension of yourself (at least for me).

Speaking of technologically advanced homespaces, which linux distro do you run/recommend?

My favorite is Debian. Though some find their installer somewhat frustrating.

Their package downloader & installer "apt-get" is incredable. (There are now some ports of it to some RPM based systems).

Also they're non-commercial, which appeals to me on a philosophical basis as well.
