Cory Doctorow, Overclocked

Cory Doctorow published a collection short stories as Overclocked. Interestingly he also made the collection available for download under a creative commons license.

One of the results of that is the stories are available officially in A4 PDF, Letter PDF, HTML, Plain Text, MP3, formats, and there are 4 different fan submitted ebook formats.

Aparently he really believes:

Like Tim O’Reilly says, “Obscurity is a far greater threat to authors and creative artists than piracy.

Though giving away short stories also makes some economic sense, given the current market its nearly impossible to sell a short story, so you might as well give them away to drive up interest in your novels.

Yeah I'd heard about them. Though I haven't looked at them recently.
