I got sick this holiday week, and basically did nothing but play world of warcraft and spent a fair chunk of time queuing in the battle grounds. My girlfriend wanted a particular loot item, which can requires tokens from one of the more painful battle grounds, Warsong Gulch. (Mostly because the horde always wins.)

Shockingly we have proof that there is still a small chunk of hope.

So out of 26 matches, I've been in 1 winning group.

Of course the next group used some kind of gate exploit and creamed us in record time.

1. picture too small, can't read names.
2. CC might be the worst server for pvp. Cenarius folk (who suck too) complain about CC people in our battlegroup.
3. report the exploiters. Then they'll get banned.

4. grats on winning!

You could click on it a couple of times and view the full rez version. And doesn't its not often that we get stuck with other people from our server. Usually its people from elsewhere--including Cenarius, in a AV tonight I saw someone from Arathian Knights.

If I'd been smart I'd have written it down or something. But I didn't so I have know idea. I think it was warlock.

Also even when being pwned I'm now tending to be toward the top of the HKs for WSG, except when purped out cenarius people are also in the group. then I have to content myself with being 4th (among the aliance).

Warsong Gulch 8 to 15 minutes.
Arathi Basin 20 minutes to 1 hour.
Alterac Valley 1 hour 20 minutes to 1 hour 40 mminutes.

Those are for level 60. The queues for WSG and AB are typically much faster for lower level brackets.

I have a million WSG tokens and 1 AV token. I guess this weekend was double honor wsg weekend. I hope AV weekend comes again soon so I can get more out of it.

So, I've been in AV twice now. The second time I accidentally zoned out. Ooooh what's this big red swirly instance looking thing...

Horde has 5 second queue times in the battlegroup that gorefiend is in for all instances.

I've heard queue times are really horrible for alliance players. In our battlegroup WSG is about 50/50 horde/alli, AV is almost always won by alli and AB is almost always won by horde. My favorite one is AV, sadly, so I see lots of losses. :)

Warsong Gulch is actually fair in your battle group? That's really nice.

It could be WSG is mostly won by premades, and since I haven't gotten into an alliance premade I don't see the alliance wins.

In my battle group its the basin that seems the most balanced, since we've got some fairly old servers in our battle group the alliance does usually win AV. Though the horde does occasionaly manage to win.

And I agree, AV is the most fun, there's quite a few different things to go off and do.

Not sure if you know the trick for avoiding premades in BG, but I do it to avoid frustration. I queue up for AB, WSG and AV and, as I enter either AB or WSG I check to see if it is a premade, if so I click to enter the next one, and finally AV if the next is a premade too. I don't know if that would really work with excessively long queue times, but it works fine for me(each queue is usually no longer than a minute or two, faster on bonus honor weekends.)

In our BG, for level 60s the queue times are typically 10 minutes for WSG, 30 minutes for AB, and 90 minutes for AV, so skipping out would be hard.

Currently I'm thinking that for some of the most evil pre-mades the best option is to hide to deny them HKs.
