I freaked out a bit today... There's all these projects I wish I could do, then there's all these stupid responsibilities trying to use up my time, and I feel like I can't get anything worthwhile done. I tend to feel its because I'm a flake, though perhaps I don't give myself credit and am mostly interested in trying to do reasonably hard things. (And they only think these projects are easy because I keep comparing myself to people who are good at doing similiar things.)

I was also annoyed because sunday there's another green party county council meeting, and I'm kind of in my "I hate humans" place, and I suspect that I could make a larger more positive impact on humanity by trying to get firefox to look at OS X's proxy system preferences.

Other than that I've finally managed to build firefox, and have read through two proposed system proxy support patches (one for linux and one for OS X). Looking at the comments it looks like the linux one was considered to be a bit "cleaner". I've applied it, made a mostly null implementation of the proxy handler for OS X and am currently trying to buid the mess.

Also for some reason certain full builds of firefox seem to cause my computer to reboot.

Also Eclipse's apply patch feature was neat.

You could do an even more stupendous service to me humanity by coding some sort of hack that would make firefox worksafe by removing the browser chrome, switching to a special monochrome css template and disabling images all at once!

Somehow I suspect that there might be a greasemonkey script out there that might do that.

My other suggestion would be get a good hot key to switch tabs.
