My girlfriend got a cat.

I hope my cat and the new cat get along.

Oh yeah, change is scary.

No two cats ever really get along. About all you can hope for is a truce. :)

Our cats do that--well, one cat does it to the other one--and they're siblings who have lived together all their 12-year lives.

I suspect Iset will have reached a state of wary equilibrium in a week or so. It'll be harder on the humans than it will be on the cat.

It's prolly too late, but I hear you get the best results if you introduce them VERY slowly. No, it's not guaranteed, but it's better (so I hear) than plopping them in the same house together and saying, "Play nice, kids".

Well we're trying to keep them somewhat seperated--New kitty stays in her room, my kitty stays in my room and hides. We only let them see each other for a few minutes.
