Interview

A couple of years ago I was involved with a group doing bicycle advocacy in Pasadena. A few days ago, one of the people I met through that offered me a proposal. Apparently one of the people holding thing left leaning/progressive/sustainability/new urbanist positions on the Pasadena transportation advisory committie is well past their term limit and was looking for a replacement.

And apparently I came across as being well spoken and sufficiently thoughtful, that when they decided to look for replacements, I was considered a good choice.

Over lunch I just went through a first round interview to go sit on the TAC. Apparently it has little official power being a volunteer citizens committee, but does have some actual influence over Pasadena.

Use your position to make gay marriage legal in Pasadena.

Alas, as I'd only be sitting on a transportation committee I'd only be able require that any pasadena drive through chapels would have to provide services for gay people.

;)
