Someone went and supported one of the few commercial games available for linux, neverwinter nights

They didn't bother to write an installer for linux though, and so I had to unzip, untar, and patch, my shiny new copy of NWN. The first night of playing was rather slow as I hadn't optimized my video drivers yet.

After fixing that friday morning the game played much, much faster.

I haven't tried the multiplayer option yet, but have rediscovered one of the plus sides to playing solo adventures--when you do something stupid there's always the restore option.

Then there's that whole not going to bed at a reasonable time. It's too easy to say "just one more zone".

It was a good thing I got killed before the sun came up.

Heh. I have the last battle to go on BG2 and am hoping to get NWN for my birthday at the end of the month. A coworker has it for his Mac and it looks great.

I'm also wanting to pick up Temple of Elemental Evil at some point as I have so many fond memories of the adventure.

temple of elemental evil does look good.

Though one of the things that's really nice about NWN is the support for user created modules.
