Weird

I almost did something more interesting than just continuing to build a cybernetic extension to my mind.

My girlfriend emailed me from London, and mentioned that she missed me.

I then promptly figured out how I could get myself to London. It would've cost $812 for a flight leaving that day, but with a few transfers of money I could've swung it.

It turns out her father doesn't want others to be staying at his apartment, so it didn't work out.

But it was shocking for me to realize that I can just pick up and leave the country at a moments notice.

That's ok, dianes not shocked at quarks and things of such. It's only her physical location and it's theoritcal mobility that is strange and foriegn to her. (plus think of all the gas the plan would have used to get her were she was going.

Shocking!

Actually there's frequently a moment of shock when I discover or realize something new. I'm not used to this whole internation travel thing.

Since I don't travel very much it always seems like a large bother to plan for things, to realize that I don't need a plan and can pretty much pick up and be on the other side of the world on the same day wasn't something I'd really thought about before.
