Dinner and a Movie

I went to see The Triplets of Belleville with the aforementioned lesbian English student, followed by dinner at follow your heart. (I wish there were more vegetarian/vegan restaurants as going out to eat is the only time I find being vegan tough.)

After dinner we spent even longer talking. I got there a little before 5 and left around 10, and we both had stuff that we should've been doing. And she even listened to me talk about my feelings about environmental instability.

As for the movie, it was amusing and quite surreal, with a rather hip jazzy experimental sound track. Though as a vegan environmentalist I do have to protest the treatment of the animated frogs.

Hey. I saw that movie recently, too. I agree that 101 recipes for frogs was...kinda gross. The best part of the movie was the dog I think...he really stole the show. Train!!!

That whole train thing was so utterly believable. I can so see a dog thinking it was the duty to go bark at the train.

I miss Follow Your Heart. Love that restaurant. They sell a chicken free chicken that Inn of the Seventh Ray uses in their vegan duck dish. It is amazing. Inn of the Seventh Ray charges about $20 for that dish (it;s located in malibu), but they sell it at that market for a few bucks. So good!

I suspect that I'll be visiting northridge far more frequently and am looking forward to buying stuff from follow your heart.
