mood: Excited

I managed to invite the cute activist over via email a few days ago. Today she called and in the conversation I managed to discuss the invitiation.

She's going to come have dinner at my place tonight at 7.

I'm nervious. I'm currently cleaning. I wonder how extreme I should be in making my place look nicer.

I shoould go buy groceries.

she came over, cooked dinner, and chatted for a while.

It was rather relaxing and pleasant.

Though she is really hard core about the vegan thing.

A lot of vegans are. But there's tons of yummy vegan stuff you can make, and I'm sure you made some. :)

oooo, this sounds great!

I would say, always clean up for guests, all guests. I do it every time the gang or just one friend comes over. It is polite and welcoming. It shows you thought enough of them to pick up and make them feel comfortable. There are lots of these manners type tips that came hard wired in me I guess. I find that it is the women who will notice if you do these things the most. It is kinda like when one of my friends compliments me about my hair or something of that like.. it is really important that I too notice and comment on something I like about them. It shows that you are thinking beyond yourself and that you want to get to know them. Another good one is, if she ever invites you over for dinner you should ask what you can bring. Again, I do this with everyone even if I know they have it covered.
