I'm feeling anxious. I'm guessing some is from feeling nervous about my confusion about the newest cute girl. (Not to mention second guessing myself, and wondering if I'm being unreasonably swayed by appearance and not giving people a fair chance).

I'm also feeling somewhat insecure about applying for grad school.

Lastly I'm worrying about Bush walking away from every arms control and environmental treaty he can find. (I wonder if he really is trying to hasten the return of christ by provoking armageddon.)

I find my nervous jitters (which to some extent, almost everyone feels) about new interests to be calmed, or, actually, more easily ignored, if I distract myself with other thoughts/actions. Like humming a tune in my head when I'm getting ready to hang out with a cute new girl or boy. Maybe that would work for you as well.

As for the environmental worries, sorry for contributing to them with my recent posts. But yes, I too am worried.

At this point if you're remotely aware of the world I don't think you can avoid worrying about the environment.

As for the cute girl, I have a lot of trouble dealing with that initial uncertainty when getting to know someone. I tend to feel really nervous.

The first part is a big if for many Americans.

And about the initial uncertainty---that's why I suggested distracting yourself with something so you don't see the uncertainty so much.
