OS X issues

I have a lot of email in a tree of folders with one message per file. (Where a lot is on the order of 50,000 messages) and I was trying to synchronize mail from my server. Since things didn't work out in a few of the trials I ended up with 4 copies of my mail spool.

My nice new OS X 10.3 system became rather cranky with that. The most recent security update wouldn't install because it was "waiting on local disk". I deleted 3 of the copies of the mail spool and it installed successfully.
