she didn't email me back. Obviously this means I came across as desperate or that she wasn't interested, it couldn't possibly mean that she's not a geek and doesn't check her email 288 times a day.

I was told about a conversation two friends were having about me, where they biggest problem i have with dating is that i deeply believe that people can't be interested in me. What would confidence look like?

(i really should sleep now...)

Do you not know what confidence looks like in general, or just can't imagine it in yourself?

I guess I'm not really clear what would be different if I was confident.

I'm not sure what you mean here. But to touch on a recent post, I think that if you were more self-confident, you'd have ended your most recent post by saying something like "It seems hard to find someone like that" rather than "that could never happen to me". But maybe I don't understand what you mean here.

Hmmm, some people take longer to respond to email. In fact, I seem to recall someone responding to an email a whole year later! ;)

In that case I think the email was largely ineffective. What actually mattered was running into said person at various social events over that year.

She mentioned that she might be going to a club in long beach this saturday--so i'm thinking of going....

and if not that I'll be trying to attend the lesbian chat group more regularly.

It's more that I never stop analyzing.
