Antidepressants 'grow brain cells'

Is that why I'm smarter now than when I was younger? And I just thought it was experience.

wait! So, does that mean that the more anti-depressants you take, and the longer you take them, the smarter you get? I must be a genius by now.

If more brain cells in the hippocampus makes you smarter then yes.

Though the proper scientist part of me does want to point out that all though jumping to conclusions like i did is fun, really all they found was that stimulating new brain cell growth was part of how anti-depressants reduced anxiety.

What more brain cells means would require further testing.

I took Paxil for about a year or so. When I took myself off it, my intelligence seemed to fly out the window.
