Which is better?

If I get a loan and can buy my coworkers condo, I've thought about putting some kind of large display in. It needs to be accept signals from a computer as all of my media is digitized.

I've found that LCD projectors are available for around $1,500. However refurbished plasma displays can be gotten for as low as $3,500. (A far cry from the $6,000).

The plasma display is quieter than the LCD projector (with no need for a cooling fan). And it allows one to say "I'll put that on the forward viewscreen". Which is cool for a certain class of people but man not be worth the extra cost.

So which is better LCD projector or Plasma?

(And I don't get to have either for some time.)

I considered getting a projector for a while, but when I checked them out they simply didn't have the resolution or clarity I was looking for - not to mention also very expensive. Of course plasma screens are even more expensive, but they're probably worth it.

I was gonna ask, what's the resolution in either case? And is resolution a factor here?

How frequently would this get used? If it's not often, then maybe the cheaper alternative prevails. Though I do understand if resolution is an issue.
Is there a major difference in size of the unit? Would it be difficult to store or set one up based on size?
