Getting trapped

My brain is odd.

You see yesterday I received an email mentioning a prototype interface for some app we're working. Unfortunatly it uses SVG, and my browser konqueror doesn't currently have support.

I did find a project svg.kde.org that purports to provide a SVG renderer. Unfortunatly it requires the cvs version of kde.

There are debian packages, but they're for x86 and I need powerpc, which means rebuilding kde.

However my laptop is slow and I wanted to try and use distcc to distribute the compliation accross my machines at work. That unfortunatly would require a cross-compiler (which again I would have to build).

I went from wanting to view a little web app to trying to rebuild huge chunks of my software.

Are you married to using konqueror?
You can download an SVG builder for Mozilla easily.

It looks like they don't provide ppc linux binaries, so I'd still need to recompile. And it'd be a bit nicer to get it working with the more comfortable software.

And I'm really close to having my compile farm working. (I think I have the cross compilers installed properly, I just need to figure out how to call them)
