Spent time installing new toys into emacs. emacs lj client, W3, and a new emacs mode for ipython.

The new lj client integrates with emacs' address book and will jump to the lj page for the user listed in the 'livejournal' field.

Did some work at making eshell show colors on remote systems properly.

Also I actually found some motivation and started modifying np3 to use a python script to manage its play list. It's still increadibly ugly, but at least my version's random is less deterministic.

Next I need to support a queue of items in the playlist, or perhaps I should come up with code for those functions I removed.

Its shocking that I actually managed to do something, I usually get stuck envisioning an overly complex solution that would take too much work to actually make functional.

That's why I stopped learning to use emacs - get into it and you'll never get out. You start with a text editor, and end up (writing ((stuff) in (lisp))).
